This release features 16 selections sung in English, Hebrew, Yiddish and Ladino and includes the High Priest Blessings for women, Traditional and Contemporary songs, Dedication songs to grandmothers, mothers, wives and daughters, poems and readings by Rabbis and Cantors. It is a special tribute to Jewish women's challenging roles throughout history, their remarkable, inspiring and dramatic role in shaping the life of Jewish communities as well as society as a whole. Beginning with "Mother Sarah," Esther, Hannah Senesh to Golda Meir, many honorable members and leaders within the Jewish community contributed their talents to this project. The production is superb and lavish, yet intimate when needed.
