David Lazzar is a heavy metal hardcore spiritual rocker and a Lubavitch chassidic Jew who has clearly distanced himself from mainstream Jewish music. David makes Judaism cool and fashionable, blending a powerful hardcore metal sound with Torah. Behind each song David burns a spiritual message into the minds of his listeners. His material includes biblical themes about the Messiah, Jerusalem, his Rebbe and the longing for G-d to redeem the Jewish people. Many Jewish youth of today want something different and are tuning in. Having sold thousands of CDs over the years worldwide only proves that there is a huge market hungry for spiritual heavy metal. David's first album "For The One Above" was a traditional classic rock album released in 1996. The album "Judah's Fill" was released in 1999 with a much heavier hardcore metal sound. David Lazzar's "Shtark" thunders into the music scene unleashing his rage with raw metal guitar riffs. This album is highly ambitious and will hit hard and satisfy.
